A Russian neo-Nazi paramilitary group fighting alongside the Russian Armed Forces has publicly announced a contest encouraging the killing of Ukrainian prisoners of war.

According to multiple open-source intelligence reports and media coverage, members of the Rusich Sabotage and Assault Reconnaissance Group (DShRG Rusich) have invited others to submit photographic evidence of executed Ukrainian POWs, offering cryptocurrency rewards in exchange.

The announcement was made via Rusich’s social media channel on November 16, 2025. In the post, the group wrote: “The first three people to send photos in front of clearly eliminated POWs will receive a monetary reward in cryptocurrency from DShRG Rusich.”

The post included an image showing what appeared to be a Rusich fighter standing in front of dead individuals, described in the caption as Ukrainian prisoners. The image’s authenticity has not been independently verified.

Participants were asked to submit photographs anonymously and were promised publication of their images on Rusich’s channels. The group added: “This is how the army of victors poses, not losers.”

DShRG Rusich is a Russian paramilitary group composed of neo-Nazi extremists with a documented history of participating in wars in Ukraine and Syria. The group has been linked to systemic violations of international humanitarian law.

As noted by the OSINT group Molfar, Rusich has operated at least two combat units and previously maintained a training facility near Saint Petersburg as of late 2022.

Western governments have sanctioned several of Rusich’s leaders, including its founder Alexey Milchakov. He has openly shared materials online advocating torture and executions of Ukrainian POWs, including a post titled “How to Dispose of Ukrainian Prisoners.”

The announced contest directly violates the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit the execution of prisoners of war, extrajudicial killings, and cruel or degrading treatment of captured combatants.

Such actions also fall under the scope of war crimes as defined by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

According to Article 25 of the Rome Statute, individuals who order, incite, or encourage such acts may be held criminally responsible—even if they do not directly participate in the executions. This includes both perpetrators and those in positions of command.

Earlier, The Guardian reported that a US-based neo-Nazi group known as The Base has been offering payments for sabotage operations and assassinations in Ukraine, using Telegram and Russian platforms to recruit operatives.
