Russian Overnight Strikes on Kharkiv Set Trolleybus Depot Ablaze, Injure 11 Civilians

Russian forces launched a series of overnight attacks on the city of Kharkiv and across the region, causing fires and damage to civilian infrastructure, the State Emergency Service reported on May 30.
In Kharkiv’s Slobidskyi district, a fire broke out at a municipal transportation facility following a strike. A building and a trolleybus caught fire, with multiple vehicles damaged. Nearby residential buildings also sustained damage. Three women were injured.


In the village of Vasyliv Khutir in Chuhuiv district, a missile and drone strike damaged a private home, farm buildings, a warehouse, and equipment. Eight people were injured, including two children.

In the village of Yavirske and the Izium district, drone strikes damaged a farm structure and a warehouse, and no casualties were reported.
During the same night, Russian drones targeted the Odesa region, causing a fire and damaging infrastructure.

One of the strikes hit a Nova Poshta logistics facility, sparking a fire and destroying part of the building. Several cargo trucks were also damaged in the attack.
On May 27, the Russian Defense Ministry has claimed its recent wave of airstrikes on Ukraine, launched over the past week and resulting in numerous civilian casualties and widespread destruction, were in retaliation for Ukrainian drone attacks and targeted only military infrastructure.
