Russian Strike on Odesa Kills One, Injures 17 Including Pregnant Woman and Teen

As a result of Russia’s morning attack on Odesa, the body of a 60-year-old woman was recovered from under the rubble. A total of 17 people were injured, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl, according to the Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper on June 17.

He added that search and rescue operations are ongoing: "At the moment, the search continues for another woman. We hope rescuers will find her alive."

The regional head reported that one person had been hospitalized, while the others had received outpatient medical care.

The missile strike also damaged residential buildings in Odesa's city center, as well as a kindergarten and an inclusive education center.

Emergency services continue working at the site to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

"All authorized services are on the scene. Law enforcement officers are documenting yet another crime committed by Russian terrorists against the civilian population of Odesa region," Kiper concluded.

Earlier, a large-scale overnight missile and drone attack on Kyiv left at least 14 people dead and more than 99 injured, including a 62-year-old US citizen identified as Grendy Frederick Glenn, according to Kyiv Military Administration Head Timur Tkachenko.
