Later, Russian forces shelled the area with artillery, injuring three more people, including a 1.5-year-old girl. The child was hospitalized in moderate condition and transported to a medical facility in Dnipro. Two men, aged 66 and 72, are being treated on an outpatient basis. The shelling damaged several private homes and apartment buildings.

According to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the total number of injured has risen to nine, including a 17-year-old boy. The attacks also caused damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, vehicles, and a pharmacy.

The strikes come amid continued shelling of the city, which has already resulted in fatalities and additional injuries. According to Oleksandr Hanzha in January, two civilians were killed in Nikopol as a result of Russian artillery fire. Both victims were women.

He added that, since the morning, ongoing attacks have left six people injured in the city. Among them, a 65-year-old woman remains in critical condition.

Authorities also reported that another resident was wounded during overnight shelling. The 44-year-old man is expected to receive outpatient treatment.
