Ten Injured in Kherson Region as Russia Intensifies Drone and Artillery Attacks

Ten people were injured in the Kherson region over the past day due to Russian shelling, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration and Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, on March 9, Russian forces shelled settlements in the region using artillery and mortars, while also launching attacks with drones.
In Antonivka, five women and one man were injured throughout the day by explosive devices dropped from Russian UAVs . One of the wounded remains in critical condition at the hospital.
Additionally, Russian forces attacked a checkpoint in Kherson’s Korabelny district with an FPV drone. A 31-year-old police officer sustained a concussion.

Around 9:00 a.m., a 55-year-old woman was injured in Kherson due to artillery shelling.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., Russian forces dropped another explosive on a street in Kherson downtown, wounding an 18-year-old man, who was hospitalized with shrapnel injuries.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a Russian UAV dropped explosives, damaging a public transport bus. A 20-year-old man was also struck by the Russian drone attack and was hospitalized with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his thigh and leg.
“Private homes, apartment buildings, warehouses, utility structures, and vehicles were also damaged during the attacks, ‘ the Prosecutor’s Office added.
On March 5, CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that the United States has temporarily halted intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
The U.S. intelligence-sharing pause with Kyiv impacted early warnings about Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian military and civilian targets.
