“They’re Already Being Shipped”: Trump Confirms Patriot Missile Transfer to Ukraine

President Donald Trump stated that shipments of Patriot missiles for Ukraine are already underway, with NATO allies and the European Union footing the bill, Trump said when asked about missile deliveries during a press briefing at Andrews Air Force Base on July 15.
“They’re already being shipped,” he said.
According to the President, the interceptors are being transferred from Germany and will be replaced by Berlin. “They’re coming in from Germany and then replaced by Germany. And in all cases, the United States gets paid back in full,” Trump emphasized.
Trump stressed that the costs of the missile transfer will not fall on US taxpayers.
“NATO's going to pay us back for everything. In some cases, we’re going to be paid back by countries of the European Union directly. We’re always getting our money back in full,” he said.
The announcement comes days after Trump vowed to step up pressure on Russia and expedite military support to Ukraine amid ongoing missile and drone attacks. He previously declared that Ukraine would receive 17 Patriot systems—though he did not clarify whether he was referring to full batteries, launchers, or individual missiles.

Ukrainian intelligence officials commented on the figure. “Seventeen is a huge number if we’re talking about batteries,” said Vadym Skibitskyi, deputy head of Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR). “If it’s launchers, that’s possible,” he added.
Earlier, reports emerged that US President Donald Trump authorized Ukraine to use 300-kilometer-range ATACMS missiles and is reportedly considering supplying Tomahawk cruise missiles capable of striking Moscow and St. Petersburg.
