US President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver an address at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, September 23, in New York City.

He will also hold bilateral and multilateral meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and leaders from ten other countries, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on September 22.

“Tomorrow morning, President Trump will deliver a major speech touting the renewal of American strength around the world, his historic accomplishments in just eight months, including the ending of seven global wars and conflicts,” Leavitt said.

The White House added that Trump will also address how globalist institutions have “significantly decayed the world order” and he will articulate his “straightforward and constructive vision for the world,” according to the press secretary.

Leavitt noted that President Trump is “aware of” Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s offer to extend a nuclear treaty between the countries for one more year,

“The president is aware of this offer extended by Putin, and I’ll let him comment on it later. I think it sounds pretty good, but he wants to make some comments on that himself,” she said.

The US president is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the UN Secretary-General, as well as the leaders of Ukraine, Argentina, and the European Union. Later in the day, he will convene a multilateral session with leaders from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, the UAE, and Jordan.

The day will conclude with a high-level reception, where Trump will meet with more than 100 world leaders, before returning to Washington, D.C.

Previously, it was reported that a new bipartisan bill introduced in the US Senate seeks to repurpose Russia’s frozen sovereign assets to fund Ukraine’s defense and reconstruction efforts.
