Two Killed, Two Injured in Russian Strike on Zolochiv, Kharkiv Region

Kharkiv governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on May 1 that Russian troops launched a strike on the village of Zolochiv in Kharkiv region. The attack resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others.

The strike, executed at approximately 10 a.m. local time, involved the use of KAB aerial bombs which targeted a house and a car. Tragically, a man and a woman inside the vehicle were killed in the attack.

Additionally, three cars were engulfed in flames due to the assault, resulting in injuries to a 77-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman.

As of around 11 a.m. local time, Syniehubov indicated that the information regarding casualties and damage is still being updated.

This strike is part of a recent escalation in Russian attacks against Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, employing missiles, glide bombs, and drones to target energy infrastructure and civilians. On April 30, Russian forces struck two districts of Kharkiv, resulting in one fatality and nine injuries.
