Turkey has increased its efforts to assist in the reconstruction of Ukraine, with tenders for several projects scheduled for April and May 2025, according to Türkiye Gazetesi.
Representatives from the Turkish Embassy in Kyiv and the State Agency for Infrastructure Development and Renewal, operating under Ukraine’s Ministry of Community and Regional Development, recently discussed ongoing projects by Turkish companies in Ukraine and explored potential future cooperation.
Turkey has received a dossier of relevant projects from Kyiv, and Ukrainian officials confirmed that tenders are planned for some urgent initiatives to be implemented within the year.
Among the key topics discussed during the negotiations was the Turkish State Agency for Infrastructure Development’s priority task: updating existing customs barriers on highways, building new ones, and creating a nationwide toll road system. The Ukrainian side indicated that a tender for these projects is expected in 2025.
Additionally, Ukrainian authorities handed over a dossier detailing other significant projects slated for 2025, including initiatives in energy, energy efficiency, social housing, and water supply.
Earlier, on February 18, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Turkey for a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
