Ukraine’s Miltech ODIN project has unveiled and successfully tested its Win_Hit high-speed FPV interceptor drone, demonstrating its ability to engage and destroy Russian Shahed-136 and Gerbera loitering munitions in flight—paving the way for deployment of 100 units to frontline air defense units, as was reported by Militarnyi on July 16.

As Russian forces intensify combined attacks on Ukrainian towns and cities with improved Shahed-136 attack drones, Kyiv has made counter-drone capability a top priority.

ODIN team has developed the Win_Hit, a purpose-built FPV interceptor drone capable of cruising at 200–220 km/h and accelerating to 280–300 km/h, with a mission endurance of 7–10 minutes—optimized for altitudes from 100 to 5,000 m.

Win_Hit can be launched from manual rigs, mobile ground launchers, or airborne carrier platforms. “Our FPV interceptor demonstrated in live-fire trials that a small, agile drone can reliably intercept and neutralise Shahed-type UAVs before they reach populated areas,” said ODIN engineer.

The Night ODIN Crew—comprising project specialists—has already recorded multiple in-air shoot-downs of Shahed-136 and Gerbera drones over central Ukraine, validating the system under realistic combat conditions.

Current field trials, conducted jointly with air defense, air force, and ground forces units, are refining Win_Hit’s guidance algorithms, electronic-warfare resistance, and launch integration.

Production of the first 100 Win_Hit drones has been completed—funded through ODIN own resources and donations from agricultural-sector benefactors—and deliveries to verified air defense detachments will begin imminently.

ODIN invites further business and non-profit partners to join its funding programme for successive production batches, offering transparent oversight of fund allocation and direct delivery of systems to frontline units.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s military experts warned that relying solely on interceptor drones to counter Shahed‐type UAVs may be insufficient, advocating instead for a more comprehensive, layered air‐defense strategy incorporating advanced guidance and detection technologies.
