Ukrainian rescuers have been equipped with military-grade armor as part of new safety measures, following Russia’s repeated use of double-tapping airstrikes, Ukrainian firefighter, callsign “Athlete”, posted on Tiktok on August 7.

These attacks target emergency responders after their initial strike, a tactic designed to maximize civilian casualties and prevent lifesaving efforts.

The new protective gear reflects the increasing danger faced by rescue teams as they rush to assist those affected by Russian missile and drone attacks.

Previously, it was reported that Russia is ramping up its use of chemical weapons in Ukraine—this is confirmed by intelligence from several countries

Earlier, a Russian airstrike had struck a medical facility in Kharkiv’s Industrialnyi district, killing one person and injuring at least 12 others, according to city officials, Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov.
