Ukraine Launches World’s First AI Assistant for Government Services via Diia

Ukraine has become the first country in the world to launch an AI assistant for government services, now available on the Diia portal .
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch via Telegram on September 1.
He emphasized that the new tool marks a major step in the digitalization of public services and further strengthens Ukraine’s leadership in the global e-governance space.
Fedorov added that at present, the AI assistant is functioning in open beta testing.
The AI assistant is designed to make interaction with government services faster and more convenient. It can guide users through the process of accessing available services, recommend the most appropriate option based on their specific situation, and provide key personal information such as an individual’s insurance record.

To use the AI assistant, users can log into Diia, open the homepage search, and submit a question.
Fedorov also drew attention to another unique feature—the ability to request official documents, such as an income certificate, simply by sending a message to the assistant.
In the future, the tool will support voice interaction, allowing users to communicate with the AI assistant in the same way they would with other advanced AI models.
Earlier, Mykhailo Fedorov unveiled six new projects aimed at reshaping the way Ukrainians access government services via the Diia app.
