Ukraine Receives €2 Million IT Equipment Boost from Luxembourg and Iceland

On April 21, The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received another shipment of IT equipment from the IT Coalition, funded this time by Luxembourg and Iceland. The total value of the delivery is nearly €2 million (approx. $2.13 million).
“This support strengthens the technological resilience of our military. With this equipment, we will enhance the capacity for stable and secure communication within the Armed Forces of Ukraine — a critical need on the front line,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development.
The latest delivery includes:
3,288 access points of various models
500 routers
460 solar-powered charging stations
872 mobile phones
This marks the third delivery from the IT Coalition in 2025. Earlier this year, Ukraine received equipment worth €3.3 million (approx. $3.52 million) in January from Estonia, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, followed by another shipment valued at €7.5 million (approx. $8 million) in February.
The IT Coalition is part of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (also known as the Ramstein format) and supports the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in IT, communications, and cybersecurity.
Currently, the coalition includes Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Estonia and Luxembourg as lead nations.
Previously, it was reported that in the first quarter of 2025 alone, the Computer Emergency Response Team CERT-UA, under Ukraine’s State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, recorded over 1,500 cyber incidents.
