Ukrainian forces have carried out a targeted drone strike on Russian drone operator positions in the village of Rivnopillia, located in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to CyberBoroshno, the attack was executed using FP-2 drones developed by the Ukrainian company Fire Point.

The 475th Separate Assault Regiment “CODE 9.2” conducted the operation, which involved multiple types of unmanned aerial systems.

A Shark reconnaissance drone first identified the positions of Russian drone operators believed to be part of the Rubicon unit. A Vampire hexacopter was then deployed to provide real-time targeting adjustments.

The FP-2 drones were launched during nighttime hours and reportedly struck residential structures being used as operating bases by Russian forces.

The FP-2 drone is a strike UAV developed by Fire Point and introduced in 2025. It is based on the earlier FP-1 platform but features significant modifications. While its range has been reduced from 1,400 km to approximately 200 km, its warhead capacity has increased to 105 kilograms.

The drone is available in configurations for both autonomous and manually guided operations, enabling it to engage static and moving targets alike.

A Fire Point representative previously described the drone as a tool designed for frontline strikes against troop concentrations, logistics hubs, and fortified positions where conventional artillery may be ineffective.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Security Service used domestically produced FP-2 drones to strike Russian military warehouses and personnel bases in occupied territories, targeting logistics hubs and deployment sites with 105-kilogram payloads.
