Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense reports that in less than four months of operation, the DOT-Chain Defense IT system has enabled the delivery of more than 100,000 FPV drones to the military, nearly one-third of them equipped with fiber-optic control.

According to the Ministry of Defense, as the digital platform functions as a marketplace, units can independently select the equipment that best meets their operational needs.

The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense handles all payments and administrative processes, from contracting to logistical oversight, the statement read. As a result, the average delivery time for FPV drones ordered through DOT-Chain Defense is just seven days.

The marketplace currently features more than 180 FPV drone models from 40 Ukrainian companies. In addition to FPV platforms, the system also provides access to strike copters, fixed-wing drones, electronic warfare tools, and ground robotic systems. The Defense Procurement Agency continues to expand the catalogue and attract new manufacturers.

At present, 180 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two corps of the National Guard have access to the system. DOT-Chain Defense is also used to support all Defense Forces under the Army of Drones Bonus programme.

Earlier, DOT-Chain Defende introduced a new rating tool that enables Ukrainian troops to assess drones and provide feedback on how they perform in actual combat.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense said that this addition will help frontline units choose equipment more effectively by taking into account not just technical characteristics but also practical battlefield experience.
