Ukraine’s HUR and Caucasian Partisans Claim Stavropol Blasts That Killed Russian Avangard Commander, Video

On September 30 explosions rocked the south of Russia, resulting in the elimination of three members of the Russian National Guard.

According to Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence, the operation was carried out with the support of the Caucasus Liberation Movement near the settlement of Tambukan in the Stavropol region.

Among the dead was a lieutenant colonel of the Russian National Guard who led a unit of the special detachment “Avangard.” His aide and driver were also killed.

Intelligence reports indicate that the group was en route to a training ground but never reached their destination.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Defense Forces have also eliminated Buvaysar Khasanovich Umkhanov, a commander of the Akhmat special forces battalion, during operations in Russia’s Kursk region.

According to Apti Alaudinov, Deputy Chief of the Russian Armed Forces’ Military-Political Directorate, Umkhanov—known by the call sign “Tarzan”—was killed in a strike on a command post where his unit was stationed.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized the commander of the Russian “Akhmat” special unit’s drone group, identified by the callsign “Amur.”
