Ukraine’s Partners Pledge Over $10 Billion in Military Aid and Production Support

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal said Ukraine’s partners have made record commitments for defense production and US weapons purchases and set out additional long-term pledges discussed at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, according to the statement on his official Telegram channel on December 16.
Shmyhal stated that partners in 2025 committed nearly $5 billion to Ukrainian defense production and approximately $5 billion to purchase US-made weapons for Ukraine, and that Kyiv aims to maintain this pace in 2026.

Shmyhal detailed partner commitments in dollar terms as follows:
Germany will provide approximately $798 million in 2026, with a focus on air defense, drones, and artillery munitions.
Britain will provide about $806 million to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense using frozen Russian assets alongside partner funding and its own budget.
Canada will allocate approximately $21.8 million for Ukrainian drones, as well as provide AIM-9 missiles and electro-optical sensors.
The Netherlands will allocate approximately $824 million for drones, including approximately $471 million for Ukrainian-made systems.
Denmark will provide a new support package of about $294 million.
Estonia will allocate approximately $167 million.
Latvia will continue to support at a level of at least $130 million.
Lithuania will allocate more than $259 million in 2026, including contributions tied to air defense and other initiatives.

Luxembourg will allocate about $118 million in 2026 and make an additional contribution of about $17.7 million to PURL.
Portugal will provide about $11.8 million for drones.
New Zealand has announced a contribution of about $8.7 million to PURL.
Norway plans about $7 billion in total military support in 2026, including backing for US air defense systems and the Czech ammunition initiative.
Montenegro is preparing contributions to PURL and the NSATU fund.
Poland will supply 155-mm shells and pursue joint projects under SAFE ;
Czechia has already financed the delivery of 760,000 artillery shells for Ukraine in 2026 through its ammunition initiative.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine and its partners launched a joint arms production initiative under the Ramstein format, enabling allied countries to manufacture weapons for Ukrainian forces.
