Ukrainian Air Defenses Down Another Su-25 Warplane in Donetsk Region

On July 23, Ukrainian Air Defenses successfully engaged in bringing down another Russian Su-25 aircraft in the Donetsk region. The incident occurred in the Pokrovsk area, where the Su-25 was reportedly involved in an attempted attack on the Ukrainian positions.

Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners from a 110 separate mechanized brigade named after Corporal General Mark Bezruchka of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intercepted the aircraft and brought it down.

This marks the second Su-25 downed by this brigade this month, highlighting the ongoing effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense efforts.

“Our anti-aircraft forces were able to neutralize a Russian Su-25 aircraft today,” a Ukrainian military statement confirmed. The statement focused on the outcome of the engagement rather than celebratory language.

This marks yet another successful operation in Ukraine’s months-long campaign against Russian aviation, as the Donetsk region remains a focal point of the Russian war against Ukraine.
