Ukrainian Armed Forces to Deploy New “Baton” Drone for High-Speed Missions

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has officially approved the domestically produced “Baton ” drone for use by the Armed Forces, the ministry announced on February 10.

Designed for high-speed operations, the Baton drones are built on adaptable frames of varying sizes. The drones are capable of functioning in extreme weather conditions, including both freezing and high temperatures. Structurally, they possess strong dynamic properties, enabling them to pursue and strike enemy targets at high speeds.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on his Telegram channel the launch of the “Drone Line” initiative on February 9, marking a new phase in the integration of unmanned aerial systems into the country’s defense strategy.

According to Zelenskyy, the program consolidates four newly established regiments and an independent brigade specializing in drone operations.
