Ukrainian Forces Destroy Russian Zoopark-1 Radar in Luhansk Region Using Drones

Ukraine’s 10th Mountain Assault Brigade “Edelweiss” destroyed a Russian Zoopark-1 counter-battery radar in the Luhansk region with drones.
This was reported by Militarnyi on February 7, adding the footage of the strike which was shared on the brigade’s social media.
According to the news outlet, the FPV drone operators from the 109th Separate Battalion of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade detected a camouflaged Russian 1L219M counter-battery radar, used by Russian forces to locate Ukrainian artillery and fire control.
“This enemy system posed a serious threat to our forces. Its destruction is a significant step toward victory, weakening the enemy and strengthening our positions,” Militarnyi wrote, citing the brigade fighters.
The radar was hit three times, targeting its antenna, before drone operators shifted their strikes to its armored body. One drone was flown directly into an open hatch, igniting a fire that burned the system from the inside out, the agency added.
On February 4, operators from the 413th Separate Battalion of Unmanned Systems “Raid” spotted and destroyed the Russian “Osa” surface-to-air missile system using a drone in one of the main directions.
