US Reportedly Receives Ukraine’s Ceasefire Terms, Russia’s Response Expected

The United States has already received a document from Ukraine outlining in detail the conditions under which Kyiv would agree to a ceasefire, according to US presidential envoy Keith Kellogg, speaking on Fox News on May 27.
Kellogg did not disclose the specific terms listed in Ukraine’s proposal. He added that Washington expects to receive a similar proposal from Russia in the near future.
The envoy also mentioned that a new round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine could potentially take place in Geneva.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow would once again consider Türkiye the venue for a second round of negotiations with Ukraine. According to Interfax, he made the remarks during a press conference in Moscow alongside Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
On May 23, Lavrov dismissed the idea of holding Ukraine-Russia negotiations at the Vatican as unrealistic, calling it “not exactly elegant.”
Peace talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul on May 16 ended after just two hours, following Russia’s demand for the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from all territories claimed by the Kremlin, including the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, as a precondition for any ceasefire agreement.
