Zelenskyy: 4,000 North Korean Soldiers Killed Out of 12,000 Deployed to Kursk
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that 4,000 North Korean soldiers, out of 12,000 deployed, have been killed in battles on the Kursk front. The President made the statement during his speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland on January 21.
These battles, he noted, are taking place in areas geographically closer to Davos than Pyongyang.
“Russia is turning into a version of North Korea, where human life means nothing,” Zelenskyy remarked. He added that Moscow’s agreements with Iran and North Korea were crafted to target Europe and the United States.
Zelenskyy also highlighted the concentration of Russian and North Korean troops in the region: “In Kursk, there are over 60,000 Russian soldiers, along with 12,000 North Koreans, of whom 4,000 have already been killed.”
“I am deeply thankful to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for their efforts on the Kursk front,” Zelenskyy concluded.
Earlier, a diary belonging to a North Korean soldier was recovered by Ukrainian Special Operations Forces. The diary includes sketches outlining tactics for capturing drones and records pledges of unwavering loyalty to Kim Jong Un.
