President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions on 87 entities connected to the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.

According to the decree, published by the Office of the President on June 27, the restrictive measures apply to 52 individuals — all Russian citizens — and 35 legal entities. Of these, 34 are tax residents of Russia, and one is a company based in the People’s Republic of China.

The sanctions list includes companies and their executives that cooperate with enterprises in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone of industrial-production type. These entities supply components, equipment, and materials used in the production of Shahed-type attack drones.

Also sanctioned are suppliers of machine tools and other technological equipment intended for use by enterprises within Russia’s defense-industrial sector.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine is preparing to request that the European Union impose sanctions on Bangladeshi companies involved in importing wheat sourced from Ukrainian territories currently under Russian occupation.

Documents reviewed by Reuters reveal that Ukraine’s embassy in New Delhi has sent several letters this year to Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, urging Dhaka to reject over 150,000 tons of grain exported from Russia’s Kavkaz port — grain that Ukraine claims was looted from its Russian-occupied territories.
