Zelenskyy Receives US Proposal for Peace, Outlines Ukraine’s Conditions for End to War

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has received a proposed diplomatic plan from the United States that Washington believes could help reinvigorate efforts to end the war, the Office of the President of Ukraine announced in a Telegram post on November 20.
According to the statement, the President outlined Ukraine’s core principles and conditions, and both Ukraine and US agreed to continue working through the plan’s provisions to ensure a just end to the war.

Ukraine reiterated that it has sought peace “from the first seconds of Russia’s invasion” and supports any substantive proposals capable of bringing about a real settlement.
Kyiv noted that it has backed initiatives put forward by US President Trump earlier this year aimed at stopping the bloodshed and remains ready to work constructively with the US, as well as European and global partners.

The President expects to discuss the available diplomatic options and the key elements necessary for peace directly with President Trump in the coming days, Office of the President of Ukraine stated.
Previously, the Head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that the next significant opportunity to end the war with Russia may emerge in February 2026.
In an interview with Ukraine’s Channel 24, Budanov said that a combination of critical internal and external factors—including developments within Russia, the United States, and Europe—must align to create a real chance for peace.
