Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine will coordinate its position with European partners ahead of his meeting with US President Donald Trump, stressing that security guarantees and Ukraine’s territorial integrity remain key priorities.

According to UNITED24 Media, Zelenskyy made the remarks while answering questions from journalists on December 27 as he was traveling to Florida for talks with Trump.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine plans to inform European leaders about the outcomes of his upcoming meeting with Trump and discuss sensitive issues related to ending Russia’s war against Ukraine. He noted that consultations with European partners would take place both before and after the talks in the United States.

“We plan to talk with European leaders,” Zelenskyy said. “We will discuss all the issues, inform them, and communicate the details of the documents I will be talking about with the President of the United States of America.”

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine has clear “red lines,” particularly regarding territorial integrity and legal recognition of occupied territories.

“We will not recognize anything under any conditions,” he said, adding that Ukraine does not intend to go into detailed discussions on these issues publicly at this stage.

Zelenskyy said security guarantees remain the central issue for Kyiv in any potential political process. He pointed to Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian territory as evidence of Moscow’s approach to peace talks.

“Today Russia demonstrated how it reacts to peaceful discussions between Ukraine and the United States about ending the war,” Zelenskyy said, referring to recent mass attacks. “If we take any steps, it is important that the security guarantees are strong and that we are protected.”

Earlier, the White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on December 28 in Palm Beach, Florida. According to the official schedule, the talks are set to take place near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
