The White House has officially confirmed that US President Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on December 28 in Palm Beach, Florida.
According to the official White House schedule, the meeting is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. local time and will take place near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, where the US president is spending the weekend.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Zelenskyy is bringing a 20-point peace proposal to the meeting. According to the outlet, one of the key elements of the plan is the creation of a demilitarized zone.

Ukrainian officials hope the proposal will serve as a foundation for broader US support and potential international backing.
Ukrainian sources cited by WSJ said the meeting is aimed at addressing key differences over the draft peace agreement. Zelenskyy reportedly pushed for the meeting in an effort to finalize critical elements of the proposal before the end of the year.
Moscow is not mentioned in the official announcement, and it remains unclear whether any direct talks with Russian officials are planned.

Ahead of the Florida meeting, Zelenskyy held a coordination call with European leaders to discuss their potential involvement. According to Reuters, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will join the preliminary conversation between Trump, Zelenskyy, and other Western leaders on December 27.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine and the United States are close to finalizing a bilateral security agreement, calling the document “almost ready” and already “on the table.”
Speaking to journalists on December 26, he emphasized that broader peace arrangements—including a 20-point plan—would require involvement from Russia and European partners, but noted that Ukraine maintains separate bilateral frameworks with Washington.
