ATESH Partisans Disrupt Donetsk–Melitopol Railway Used to Supply Russian Forces

Ukrainian partisan movement ATESH said its agents disabled three railway control cabinets along the Donetsk–Melitopol railway line, disrupting infrastructure used to support Russian military logistics in temporarily occupied territories.

According to the group on September 30, the railway equipment was disabled near the settlements of Luhanske, Rozivka, and Molochansk. The damaged control cabinets are used to manage railway signaling, switches, and communications along the route.

ATESH said disrupting the equipment affects the movement of trains along the railway, which it described as an important supply route for Russian forces operating in southern Ukraine.

The partisan movement said Russian forces rely on the railway to transport ammunition, military equipment, and personnel to units deployed in occupied territories.

“ATESH is systematically cutting supply routes to the Russian grouping in the south. Their ammunition, equipment, and personnel depend on this railway—and we are cutting them off from supplies,” the group said.

The reported railway disruption follows another recent ATESH operation targeting Russian military logistics. The movement said its agents destroyed a warehouse in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region containing drones intended for deployment to Russian forces in the war zone.

According to ATESH, the operation was conducted to mark the fourth anniversary of the movement’s founding. The facility reportedly housed various unmanned aerial vehicles, including hexacopter drones used by Russian forces for battlefield and logistics operations.
