On June 22, signal repeaters on the territory of Belarus that Russia used to coordinate Shahed drone strikes on Ukraine ceased operations.

The operational halt follows a public warning issued by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on June 19, 2026, which demanded the removal of the specialized guidance equipment within seven days, according to RBC.

Responding to questions from journalists, the Ukrainian President confirmed the technical shift along the northern border.

"According to the available information, which was reported to me by the Commander-in-Chief, as well as intelligence, since June 22, the corresponding repeaters have ceased their operation on the territory of Belarus," the head of state noted.

The equipment had been utilized by Russian forces to adjust flight paths and maintain control over loitering munitions targeting Ukrainian civilian infrastructure during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

While the signals have stopped, the physical status of the hardware remains unverified by Ukrainian security services.

"Whether they dismantled them or not, frankly speaking, I do not know yet, but we are working on this, and I am monitoring this very closely and receive daily reports," Zelenskyy stated.

The suspension of the electronic warfare and guidance systems occurs exactly three days after Kyiv publicly declared it would take independent measures to disable the infrastructure if Minsk failed to act.

The installations were previously identified by Ukrainian intelligence in the Homiel and Brest regions of Belarus, directly bordering northern Ukraine.
