“Bingo, It’s Burning”: Fuel Facilities Ignites in Temporarily Occupied Mariupol

Explosions tore through temporarily occupied Mariupol on July 21, hitting a fuel truck, a service station, and the Mosgaz  filling station.

The strikes were reported by the Mariupol City Council and Petro Andryushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, in posts published on Telegram.

"In short — bingo. It's burning very brightly," Andryushchenko wrote, describing the fire that followed.

The Center confirmed that the blasts struck the area of Topolyna Street. The verified targets included:

• a semi-trailer fuel tanker;

• a vehicle service station;

• the Mosgaz filling station.

The OSINT community Exilenova+ reported that something was burning intensely in the city, likely following a strike. The character of the blaze, it noted, indicated ignition of fuel and lubricant materials.

Andryushchenko added that Russian forces sealed off the access to one of the city's streets as the blaze intensified. Reports also pointed to a possible hit on Russian military garages in the same district, though he noted those details were still being verified.

On July 1, Ukrainian forces destroyed a road bridge on the Donetsk–Mariupol highway near Kremenivka in the Volnovakha district, collapsing several spans over the Malyi Kalchyk River and cutting a route used to move personnel, ammunition, and equipment.

Weeks earlier, on June 11, a strike on the temporarily occupied Mariupol port—key hub for shifting fuel and military supplies across southern Ukraine—sent thick black smoke over the waterfront.
