Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,290 Troops, 7 Tanks, and 63 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,290 troops, seven tanks, and 63 artillery systems over the past day, while the number of frontline clashes reached 295.
Russian forces lost another 1,290 troops, seven tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, and 63 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on July 5.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,409,630.
Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of three multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense system, six ground robotic systems, 1,628 operational-tactical UAVs, and 462 vehicles and fuel tankers over the past day.

Overall Russian losses reported by Ukraine now include 12,081 tanks, 24,878 armored combat vehicles, 45,388 artillery systems, 1,916 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,470 air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 1,821 ground robotic systems, 390,738 operational-tactical UAVs, 4,847 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 116,106 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,385 pieces of special equipment.
Ukraine’s General Staff said 295 combat engagements took place between Ukrainian and Russian forces over the past day, with the heaviest fighting reported in the Huliaipole sector, where Russian forces launched 38 assaults.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) released footage showing a drone strike that destroyed a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet and an airfield support vehicle at the Belbek air base in occupied Crimea during an operation carried out overnight on June 25–26. HUR estimated Russia’s losses from the strike at tens of millions of dollars.
