Daily Update Russia Loses 960 Troops, 2 Tanks and 11 Armored Vehicles in One Day

Russian forces lost another 960 troops, two tanks, and 11 armored combat vehicles over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on May 29.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,361,070.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of 28 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, four ground robotic systems, 1,750 operational-tactical drones, and 324 vehicles and fuel tankers over the past day.

Overall, Russian equipment losses reported by Ukraine now include 11,958 tanks, 24,636 armored combat vehicles, 42,860 artillery systems, 1,808 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,397 air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 316,652 operational-tactical drones, 4,687 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 100,230 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,227 pieces of special equipment.

The General Staff said 267 combat engagements took place along the front line over the past day. Russian forces attacked most heavily on the Pokrovsk axis, where 46 assaults were recorded, and on the Huliaipole axis, where 32 attacks took place.

Over the same period, Russian forces launched one missile strike using one missile and carried out 86 airstrikes, dropping 269 guided aerial bombs.

Russia also used 7,881 strike drones and conducted 2,806 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 77 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia is preparing a new wave of mobilization that could draft tens of thousands of people to compensate for its military losses.
