Finland will provide Ukraine with its 34th military aid package, valued at approximately €290 million ($335 million), according to the Finnish Ministry of Defense on September 15.

This decision brings the total value of defense assistance supplied by Finland to Ukraine to roughly €3.6 billion ($4.15 billion) since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

This latest package marks the second-largest defense allocation from Helsinki to Kyiv since the full-scale invasion began.

The newly allocated support includes weapons and defense equipment, a portion of which was purchased directly from the Finnish defense industry.

Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen stated, “Finland continues to support Ukraine, which is defending itself against illegal aggression by Russia. Throughout the war, we have provided Ukraine with material assistance according to its needs.”

He added that sourcing equipment from domestic manufacturers concurrently supports the expansion of Finland's own defense production capacity.

Details regarding the contents of the package, delivery schedules, and transit methods are remaining confidential due to operational security.

On May 29, 2026, Finland provided Ukraine with its 33rd package of defense material following a decision made by President Alexander Stubb based on a proposal from the government.

The aid was valued at approximately €128 million ($138.5M), which brought the total value of defense material delivered by Helsinki to Kyiv since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine to €3.4 billion ($3.68B).
