According to a source covering the activities of Russia’s Northern Grouping of Forces, Russian troops intensified their assaults toward Myropillia on November 4, although these efforts did not result in reported territorial gains.

Further east, Russian forces also faced difficulties consolidating their positions near Lyman.

A source affiliated with Russia’s Western Grouping of Forces disputed claims that Russian troops had established control over Zarichne, northeast of Lyman.

According to the source, the settlement remains a contested gray zone, where Russian units are continuing attempts to establish a foothold.

Meanwhile, Russian troops carried out additional attacks east of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk on November 3 and 4 but failed to advance.

Ukrainian forces responded with counterattacks along the southern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River and southeast of Sloviansk, preventing Russian units from making further progress in the area.

The heaviest Russian offensive activity was reported in the Kostiantynivka-Druzhkivka direction, where Russian forces launched 24 assaults on November 3 and 4, according to the ISW, citing Ukraine’s General Staff.

At the same time, the intensity of Russian operations declined in the neighboring Dobropillia direction, where Moscow had concentrated its main offensive efforts since at least August 1, 2026.

Despite the reduced intensity, Russian troops continued offensive operations in the Dobropillia sector on November 3 and 4. However, Ukrainian counterattacks prevented them from achieving further advances.

A similar situation was reported in southern Ukraine, where Russian forces launched attacks in the Huliaipole direction and western Zaporizhzhia region during the same period.

Ukrainian troops conducted counterattacks south of Orikhiv, while Russian forces failed to make territorial gains in either sector.

Separately, Ukrainian forces reported the destruction of a Russian Pantsir-S1 short-range air defense system, valued at approximately $15 million, during an operation in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector near the Ukrainian-Russian border.

According to the 8th Air Assault Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the system was detected and targeted during a combat patrol of Russian-controlled airspace. The Ukrainian military did not disclose the exact location of the engagement or specify which weapon was used to destroy the Russian air defense system.
