During an air raid alert on the evening of July 7, an explosion occurred in Odesa as Russia attacked the region with a ballistic missile carrying a cluster warhead.

The strike hit infrastructure and caused a fire inside a building on the territory of a manufacturing enterprise and set several vehicles ablaze, leaving six people injured, as reported by Suspilne Odesa.

The casualties include a 58-year-old woman and five men between the ages of 37 and 69, according to Inna Verba, the spokesperson for the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

A 48-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition with shrapnel wounds, while the 58-year-old woman and two men are currently in the hospital in moderate condition. The remaining two wounded individuals are receiving outpatient medical treatment.

The air raid alert in the Odesa region was activated at 7:15 PM, and the explosion occurred almost simultaneously with the siren.

The Ukrainian Air Force had issued a warning regarding the threat of ballistic weapons from the south, specifically identifying a high-speed target heading toward the city at 7:14 PM.

A Russian ballistic missile strike on the Odesa region on July 1 resulted in civilian casualties and damage to industrial infrastructure. According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the daytime attack killed two people and injured 13 others, 11 of whom were hospitalized.

The strike targeted an industrial facility, which triggered a fire that emergency services later extinguished.
