Russian Missile Strike on Odesa Region Kills 2, Injures 13, Damages Industrial Facility

A Russian ballistic missile strike on the Odesa region on July 1 resulted in civilian casualties and damage to industrial infrastructure.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said the attack occurred during the day and caused fatalities and injuries among civilians.

“According to preliminary information, two people have been killed and 13 others injured, 11 of whom have been hospitalised. All the injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance,” Kiper said.
Authorities reported that an industrial facility was damaged in the strike, triggering a fire that has since been extinguished. Emergency services are continuing to work at the scene.
On the same day, a Russian drone struck a passenger minibus in central Kherson at around 07:00, killing two people and injuring at least nine others, according to regional officials.

The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said the attack targeted public transport during the morning hours and confirmed that efforts were underway to identify the two people killed.
Among the victims was an 18-year-old girl who died in front of her mother while travelling to complete documents for university admission.
Nine other people sustained blast-related and shrapnel injuries, including two medical workers. Six of the injured were hospitalised. One woman underwent surgery after sustaining severe injuries, and her condition has since been stabilised. She remains in intensive care.
Just a day earlier, Russian forces carried out an attack on the city of Sumy, using four guided aerial bombs.
According to preliminary reports, two women and nine men were hospitalised with injuries of varying severity. All the injured are receiving medical care and undergoing medical examinations, while emergency services continue to assess the consequences of the attack.
