Russian Barrage on Kyiv Region Continues for Seventh Straight Day, Damaging Homes and Warehouses

The latest morning assault caused damage across the Bucha, Brovary, and Boryspil districts of the Kyiv region, according to the Head of the Kyiv Region Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, on September 2.

In the Bucha district, a man suffered a shrapnel wound to his thigh. In the Brovary district, a woman sustained shrapnel wounds to her arm and shoulder. Both were receiving medical assistance.

Civilian infrastructure was damaged across all three districts.

Warehouse facilities caught fire in the Bucha district, where a private home was also damaged. Another private residence was hit in the Brovary district, while a warehouse building sustained damage in the Boryspil district.

Emergency crews remained at the affected sites, extinguishing fires, clearing debris and documenting the consequences of the Russian strikes.

Vyshneve, a city just outside Kyiv, was also hit during the latest wave.

A Russian drone struck a residential area there, destroying two townhouses and injuring three people, including an 8-year-old child.

The September 2 strikes extended an unusually prolonged period of Russian aerial pressure on the Ukrainian capital and its surrounding communities.

Kyiv and the wider region have now faced Russian drone and missile threats for seven consecutive days, repeatedly forcing civilians into shelters.

Previously, Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that Russian forces plan to maintain a sustained campaign of jet-powered drone strikes against Kyiv until at least September 18–20, timing the aerial bombardment to coincide with Russia’s upcoming parliamentary elections.
