Russian Missile Strike on Kyiv Region Kills 10, Injures Nearly 100

A Russian missile strike on Ukraine's Kyiv region on July 24 killed 10 people and injured about 100 others, according to Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko.
Kravchenko published the figures on Facebook, noting that Russia had struck the region once again and that the data was still being clarified. "I express my condolences to all relatives and loved ones of those affected by this tragic event," he wrote.

The toll climbed through the day and remains provisional, with emergency crews still at the site and the fate of some of those present yet to be established.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had earlier confirmed at least six killed and dozens injured, reporting on his official Telegram channel that a rescue operation was underway.
Ukraine’s Air Force warned of the incoming attack shortly before the explosions. It reported several high-speed targets moving toward Kyiv before issuing another message warning that missiles were approaching the capital.
Open-source military monitor AMK Mapping estimated that Russia launched around six Iskander-M ballistic missiles and four Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles in the daytime attack, targeting Kyiv and the area around Vasylkiv Air Base.

The strike hit a location in the Kyiv region where representatives of Ukraine’s defense industry were present, according to the Council of Arms Manufacturers of Ukraine, cited by DW Ukraine on July 24.
The council said information about the participants’ location had not been publicly disclosed before the attack.
Ukrainian authorities were working to establish the circumstances of the strike, according to the council.
Ukrainian defense technology specialist Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov said in a Facebook post that he and his team were unharmed.
“Friends, thank you, I am fine. The team is alive,” he wrote.
Zelenskyy said emergency and rescue services were working at the scene and attempting to determine the full circumstances of the attack and the fate of everyone affected.
Kyiv and the surrounding region have faced repeated Russian missile and drone attacks throughout July.
A large-scale ballistic missile and drone attack on Kyiv on July 2 killed at least 21 people and injured 90, with damage reported at 28 locations across the capital.
Russia launched another major attack on Kyiv on July 6, killing at least 15 people and injuring 56, including seven children.
On July 19, Russia fired 41 ballistic missiles at Kyiv during one of the largest such attacks on the capital since the beginning of the full-scale war. At least one person was killed, and 16 were injured in Kyiv, while two more people were injured in the Bucha district of the surrounding region.
