According to local reports, Russian forces carried out an attack using multiple launch rocket systems on the Shumenskyi district, striking civilian infrastructure and housing.

As a result of the shelling, a 36-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged six and three, sustained injuries. Medical officials reported that all three suffered blast-related trauma and shrapnel wounds to the head, torso, and limbs. They were hospitalized and are receiving necessary medical treatment.

The children’s father was killed in the same strike, authorities confirmed.

A few weeks earlier, a United Nations humanitarian convoy marked with UN insignia was struck by drone attacks in Ukraine’s southern Kherson region, with Kyiv attributing responsibility to Russian forces.

The convoy was operating near Bilozerka when the strikes damaged UN vehicles.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the convoy was hit twice and accused Russian forces of intentionally targeting the humanitarian mission.

“The Russians could not have failed to know who they were targeting,” Zelenskyy said, pointing to the clearly visible UN markings on the vehicles.

Kherson regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin also blamed Russia for the attack, noting that the convoy had been delivering aid to civilians in areas repeatedly affected by Russian shelling.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated that the convoy was “severely damaged by two drone strikes,” but did not identify the perpetrator, leaving the assessment of responsibility to further investigation.

Previously, Russian forces carried out shelling of a residential area in Kherson’s Korabelnyi district at approximately 10:50 a.m., killing four civilians and injuring seven others, Kherson Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Prokudin said.

He reported that a 72-year-old woman, a 71-year-old woman, and a 60-year-old man were killed instantly as a result of the strike.
