The full extent of the damage and its potential impact on the national drug supply remain unknown. In September, reports surfaced regarding reduced stocks of certain medications amidst ongoing Russian attacks.
According to UNIAN, Ukraine's Ministry of Health stated that there is no systemic shortage of medicines across the country, though localized disruptions were recorded.
Distributors have restructured logistics, and government regulations now allow medical supplies to be dispersed across multiple storage sites rather than concentrated in single locations.

Prior to this incident, a Russian attack on September 3 damaged the Biokon logistics complex in the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region, which is considered the largest specialized pharmaceutical warehouse in the country, according to Ekonomichna Pravda.
On the night of September 8, Russian forces used two ballistic missiles to hit a Kyiv warehouse belonging to Optima-Pharm, another major distributor, which they had already destroyed in 2025.
On September 13, Russian forces struck Universal Logistic, the second-largest medicine depot in Ukraine.
The following day, September 14, an attack hit a warehouse owned by BaDM, another top pharmaceutical distributor. The strike marked the fourth attack on Ukrainian pharmaceutical storage infrastructure since the beginning of September.
Russia’s primary military target remains Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. However, since October 2025, Russian missiles and drones have been increasingly targeting Ukraine’s pharmaceutical supply chain—with warehouses coming under systematic attack.
