SBU Hits Two Russian Patrol Boats, Ferries, Radars, and Fuel Hubs in One-Night Strike Blitz

Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a large-scale overnight operation, simultaneously striking Russian military, logistics, surveillance, and fuel infrastructure across occupied Crimea, the Black Sea region, and southern Russia, SBU reported on July 13.
The agency said the operation was conducted as part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s directive to systematically reduce Russia’s military and economic capacity to continue its war of aggression against Ukraine.

In the Black Sea, SBU drones struck two Russian Project 12150 Mangust patrol boats.
At the Baherove airbase in temporarily occupied Crimea, the drones targeted hangars containing military vehicles and specialized equipment.
Three stationary radar systems used by Russian forces to detect uncrewed surface vessels and attack drones were also hit.

The operation placed particular pressure on Russia’s maritime logistics around the Kerch Strait. At the Crimea ferry terminal in Kerch, Ukrainian drones struck the vehicle ferries Yeysk and Maria.
At Russia’s nearby Port Kavkaz, the ferries Lavrentiy and Panagia were also targeted.
The SBU additionally reported strikes on three petroleum storage tanks at the Port Kavkaz oil transshipment complex and a train carrying fuel tank cars at the Kavkaz freight station.
Farther inside Russia, drones hit the tank farm of an oil depot in Vyazniki, Stavropol region, approximately 600 kilometers from Ukraine.
The sites form part of the transport and fuel network Russia uses to supply its occupation forces in southern Ukraine and Crimea. Ferries and port infrastructure around the Kerch Strait have become increasingly important as Ukrainian strikes continue putting pressure on bridges, rail lines, fuel depots, and other major supply routes.

“The simultaneous destruction of dozens of targets in different remote locations in a single night shows that the SBU is expanding the scale of its long-range special operations. Critical elements of Russia’s military and oil infrastructure will continue to burn,” the SBU said.
Russian gasoline production has dropped to around 65% of seasonal demand after repeated Ukrainian drone strikes forced several of the country’s largest oil refineries to suspend operations.
Gasoline production is currently falling short of seasonal demand by between 40,000 and 45,000 metric tons per day—approximately 35%. By comparison, the daily deficit in June stood at about 25%.
In addition, SBU recently hit a rare Soviet-era radar system. In footage released by the agency, analysts noticed an unusual Russian radar hit by a drone. The system stood out because of its enormous size, with an antenna roughly 30 meters wide.
