During the night of May 27, Ukrainian defense units executed a series of targeted operations against Russian industrial and military assets.

The Tuapse oil refinery, located in the Krasnodar region, sustained damage resulting in fire and smoke, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 28.

As one of the largest petroleum processing facilities in southern Russia, the plant has an annual capacity of approximately 12 million tons of crude oil and produces fuel utilized by the Russian armed forces.

In a separate coordinated effort, the Ukrainian Air Force deployed long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles to disable Russian intelligence automation systems. These precision strikes hit facilities in the regions of Voronezh and Taganrog, as well as in occupied Sevastopol.

Ukrainian forces also targeted command centers in the Luhansk region, specifically near the settlements of Tsvitni Pisky and Sorokyne.

Additional strikes damaged a logistics storage site in Sorokyne and a drone production facility located near Azovske in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Furthermore, operational units destroyed a Nebo-SV radar station near Kamyanka and a command vehicle belonging to a Buk-M2 air defense system in the vicinity of Kadiivka.

Ukrainian forces reportedly conducted a missile strike on the Baltimore military air base in Voronezh early on May 27, 2026. Following a missile alert, explosions and smoke were observed near the airfield, which served as a primary operating location for Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers.

While the regional governor claimed that Russian air defenses destroyed two high-speed targets, open-source monitoring channels geolocated footage of smoke rising from the base and suggested that the strike likely involved British-French Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
