Today’s Russian Missile Attack on Lviv and Kryvyi Rih in Pictures
On September 4, Russia launched two attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Lviv and Kryvyi Rih, killing at least 10 people and causing significant damage to the civilian infrastructure.
Lviv
As a result of the night attack, at least seven people were killed, among them were three children, and 53 people were injured. Two children, aged 10 and 15, and 15 adults have been hospitalized in the city’s hospital. Five patients are in serious condition. Twelve people have been rescued by the State Emergency services.
More than 50 houses were damaged, including two schools, and two medical facilities. Residents from six homes have been temporarily displaced.
Kryvyi Rih
Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih resulted in injuries to five people, among which a 84-year-old woman, a 70-year-old man, and a 10-year-old girl.
The attack damaged a hotel in the city, and several high-rise buildings sustained broken windows. Besides the apartment buildings, four educational institutions and multiple cars have been damaged. A pharmacy and several stores have been destroyed.
Russia has significantly escalated its shellings of civilian populations in Ukraine, causing widespread damage to critical infrastructure and endangering countless lives.
This surge in violence has prompted Ukraine to intensify its efforts to secure long-range weapons and strengthen anti-aircraft defenses to safeguard civilians and prevent further destruction.
