Ukraine Develops Brama System Combining Drone Detection and Electronic Jamming

A Ukrainian defense technology company, Rebel Group, has developed a stationary electronic warfare system called Brama that can detect FPV drone signals, decode their video feeds, and then disrupt both video transmission and control links from a single device, according to Militarnyi on August 31.

Brama combines electronic intelligence and electronic warfare capabilities, allowing operators to move from detecting a drone’s signal to actively jamming it without relying on separate equipment.
The system is designed primarily to counter FPV drones using analog video transmission. It identifies the frequency used by the drone’s video link and decodes the signal before applying directional interference against both the video channel and the connection used to control the aircraft.

“Both functions are implemented in a single device, so the operator does not need to use additional equipment to move from detection to suppression,” a Rebel Group representative told Militarnyi.
According to the developers, Brama has already undergone laboratory testing as well as trials under combat conditions. The system is currently undergoing Ukraine’s military codification procedure, a required step before defense equipment can be formally approved for broader use by the country’s armed forces.
Earlier, Ukraine unveiled Lima Quant, an upgraded electronic warfare system designed to counter advanced Russian satellite-navigation antennas used on weapons including Shahed drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and guided bombs.
The system was developed to defeat newer 12- and 16-element CRPA arrays that proved resistant to previous-generation jammers.
