Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for use in the Armed Forces a domestically produced electric motorcycle, the WOLFSTORM.

The vehicle combines features of traditional internal combustion motorcycles with electric mobility technology and is capable of silently transporting two fully equipped servicemen.

Designed specifically for military operations using a mid-drive configuration, the WOLFSTORM is intended to provide improved handling, stability, and efficiency in difficult terrain, including hilly and off-road environments.

The motorcycle weighs 105 kg, reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h, and has a range of approximately 100 km. Its 8 kW electric motor is centrally mounted, while power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain drive similar to conventional motorcycles. The model also features a reverse gear.

The WOLFSTORM can be fully charged in around four hours and also supports rapid battery replacement.

With a payload capacity of 200 kg, the platform can carry two soldiers with full combat gear.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the system combines the advantages of lightweight off-road motorcycles with internal combustion engines and high-performance electric mobility, including low noise operation, absence of a thermal signature, modular design, resistance to weather conditions, and reduced maintenance costs.

The WOLFSTORM can be used for a range of missions, including reconnaissance, combat engineering transport, personnel rotation, delivery of unmanned systems teams, logistics support, evacuation, as well as patrol and security tasks.

Last week, on June 3, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s arsenal of battlefield evacuation systems has been expanded with the addition of the Vepr unmanned ground vehicle, a domestically developed robotic platform intended for logistics, casualty evacuation, and combat support roles.

According to the ministry, the Vepr ground robotic complex has already been in use on the frontline since 2024. Based on operational experience and feedback from Ukrainian servicemembers, developers have substantially improved the system to better meet changing battlefield requirements.
