Ukraine to Expand Drone Range to 4,000 Km and Up to 10,000 Next Year, Zelenskyy Says

Ukraine is preparing to scale its long-range drone capacity significantly, targeting ranges of 4,000 kilometers this year and up to 10,000 kilometers next year.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed the new goals during an interview with American blogger Laura Loomer on July 24.

"So, what is very important now: you have drones for 3000 plus kilometers," stated Zelenskyy.

"And this year we will have them for 4000 kilometers, next year — from 5 to 10 thousand," he added.

Earlier, in March 2025, Zelenskyy officially announced successful tests of a drone. The UAV achieved a distance of 3,000 kilometers for the first time.

At that time, the president emphasized that Ukraine was actively building a complete lineup of long-range tools that "will help guarantee the security of our state."

Previously, Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had developed upgraded long-range drones. These drones can strike targets at distances of up to 3,000 kilometers.

According to Zelenskyy’s address, the new capability was demonstrated during operations inside Russia, including a strike in the Tyumen region.

These long-range operations significantly impacted Russian military logistics and energy facilities.
