Approximately 40 long-range attack drones were used in the operation. The source claimed that eight drones reached the target despite Russian air defenses, striking above-ground storage hangars and triggering a large secondary detonation.
The reported losses include roughly 5,000 tons of military equipment and ammunition, primarily artillery shells of various calibers and engineering munitions. The same source stated that two Russian servicemen were killed during the incident.
Satellite imagery published by the OSINT project Dnipro OSINT appears to show extensive damage across the facility. According to the group’s assessment, the area affected by explosions and fires covered approximately 50,000 square meters.

The arsenal, designated military unit 55443-LI, is located near St. Petersburg and has historically served as one of the Baltic Fleet’s key ammunition storage hubs. Originally established in the 1930s, the complex includes protected storage infrastructure developed during the Soviet era for naval munitions.
The reported strike formed part of a broader Ukrainian long-range drone campaign conducted overnight on June 6. Earlier, Ukrainian officials confirmed attacks on military targets in Russia’s St. Petersburg region, including facilities linked to the Russian Navy in Kronstadt. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian drones reached targets approximately 1,000 kilometers from the border during the operation.
