Ukraine’s 44th Brigade Destroys Three Russian Msta-B Howitzers in Zaporizhzhia Region

Ukrainian artillery forces destroyed three Russian 152mm 2A65 Msta-B towed howitzers and struck an enemy troop concentration during targeted combat operations in southern Ukraine, ArmyInform reported, citing the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade, on July 21.
The precision strikes took place along the active Huliaipole and Orikhiv axes in the Zaporizhzhia region, where Russian forces routinely deploy artillery assets and mass personnel for offensive operations.

According to the 44th Artillery Brigade, the successful engagement relied on real-time coordination between aerial reconnaissance units and heavy artillery crews. Drone operators first identified masked Russian artillery positions and concealed troop quarters, enabling artillery units to execute immediate fire missions on the relayed coordinates.
The joint operation resulted in the destruction of all three 152mm Msta-B howitzers alongside damage to the Russian staging area, ArmyInform detailed.

Emphasizing the tactical discipline behind the strikes, the brigade stated that “behind every hit is professionalism, cold calculation, coordinated interaction, and the persistent work of those who defend Ukraine every day,” noting that “every successfully completed mission is another step toward our Victory.”
The operation comes shortly after aerial reconnaissance teams from the 151st Separate Mechanized Brigade located and destroyed a camouflaged Russian Msta-S self-propelled howitzer using precision strike drones.
