Ukraine’s HUR Hits Russian L-39 Jet, Three Boats, Radars and Railway Bridge in One Operation

Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) said its “Prymary” special unit struck a range of Russian military targets, including radar systems, communications infrastructure, aircraft, boats, and a railway bridge, as part of Ukraine’s response to continued Russian strikes on the country.

According to HUR on September 28, the unit targeted a railway bridge spanning the North Crimean Canal, as well as nine communications towers and systems used for electronic warfare, electronic intelligence, radar operations, and MESH communications relays.
Among the radar assets hit were a Nebo-U radar, a command post for a P-18 Terek radar, and two Kasta-2E radar systems.
The operation also targeted an L-39 Albatros jet trainer and light combat aircraft, HUR reported.
In addition, the Prymary unit struck three Russian vessels: a BK-10 high-speed assault boat, a BK-16 high-speed transport and landing craft, and a Mangust high-speed patrol boat.
“The systematic destruction of the enemy’s high-value military assets deprives it of the ability to detect targets, transmit data, move resources, and operate at sea,” the agency added.
The reported strikes came as Ukrainian forces also announced new gains on the battlefield. Ukraine’s Third Army Corps said it retook Nove, Ridkodub, and Katerynivka and reestablished control over Karpivka and Novomykhailivka during the third phase of Operation Vivaldi.
The corps announced on September 28 that Ukrainian forces regained another 51 square kilometers during the latest phase, bringing the total territory retaken since the offensive began to 176 square kilometers.
