Ukrainian Deep Strikes Hit 697 Targets, Costing Russia $6.1 Billion in 2026

Ukraine's Defense Forces struck 697 targets inside Russia through Deep Strike operations during the first six months of 2026.

Direct and indirect economic losses inflicted on the enemy are estimated at no less than $6.1 billion, according to Ukraine's military command.

The figures were reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, on July 10. He presented them as part of a summary of Ukraine's long-range operations for the year so far.

Syrskyi emphasized that the parallel Middle Strike campaign is also operating effectively. Over the same period, Ukrainian forces struck 7,028 enemy objects, the Commander-in-Chief noted.

Artillery carried out more than 456,000 fire missions across the six months, according to the statement.

Missile forces delivered over 1,140 strikes during that time, while Air Force aviation conducted more than 1,100. Support units accounted for roughly 1,400 additional strikes, Syrskyi added.

Deep Strike is Ukraine's long-range program aimed at military, energy, and industrial targets far behind the Russian front line.

Both campaigns form part of a broader Ukrainian push to pressure Russian assets beyond the immediate combat zone.

Syrskyi described the six-month tally as confirmation that the strikes continue to land effectively across Russian territory.

The strike totals come alongside steady Russian losses on the battlefield. In the 24 hours to July 10, Russian forces lost 1,460 troops, 52 artillery systems, and two air defense systems.

Those daily losses pushed Russia's estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022 to roughly 1,416,280.

Ukraine’s General Staff separately reported on July 10 that Russian forces lost roughly $278 million worth of military equipment over the past day.

Ukrainian forces destroyed or disabled one tank, six armored combat vehicles, 52 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, two air defense systems, eight ground robotic systems, 1,868 drones, and 339 vehicles over the past 24 hours.
