According to the corps, the operation was carried out jointly by the 4th Ranger Regiment of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces and the 7th Rapid Response Corps. Ukrainian forces targeted locations used by Russian operators to launch vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drones for attacks against Ukrainian positions and logistics routes.
The military said the launch sites were concealed inside civilian structures across the city, including areas near a café, a children’s goods store, a library, and a damaged residential building in the private housing sector. Footage released by the 7th Corps showed Ukrainian fixed-wing strike drones hitting multiple identified targets.
According to the corps, the locations were identified through analysis of Russian drone activity in the Pokrovsk area. Ukrainian forces then conducted precision strikes against six separate launch positions used by Russian drone units.
“These places were used by the enemy to conduct combat drone sorties and deliver fire strikes against the positions of Ukrainian troops, including logistics routes,” the 7th Rapid Response Corps stated.

The military added that all strikes were carried out using fixed-wing attack drones and were directed specifically at launch points for VTOL unmanned aerial systems.
Pokrovsk remains one of the most heavily contested sectors of the front in eastern Ukraine. Russian forces have continued offensive operations around the city while increasingly relying on drone reconnaissance and strike capabilities to support assaults and disrupt Ukrainian supply lines.
Earlier, on June 4, Ukrainian drone operators from the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces established fire control over the temporarily Russian-occupied Donetsk International Airport, targeting logistics infrastructure, fuel tankers, engineering equipment, and facilities reportedly used to support Russian Shahed drone operations.
